Tonosho Town is located on Shodoshima Island in the Seto Inland Sea. The town is also known as the setting for the anime "Teasing Master Takagi-san" which depicts a beautiful town blessed with abundant nature. Despite being an island, Shodoshima boasts high recognition as a "tourist island," attracting over one million visitors each year. In the industrial field, the town is famous for its somen noodles and soy sauce with a history of over 400 years, sesame oil, stone materials, and olives. It is also known worldwide as a sustainable tourism area, having received international certification as a sustainable tourism destination by 2024.
