Nishinomiya City is known as the sanctuary of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya".
The clock tower located northwest of Hankyu Nishinomiya Kitaguchi Station is called the “Haruhi Clock”, and other locations that served as models for the anime are scattered throughout the city, attracting many fans.
Shukugawa, which also appears in the anime, is popular as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot.
Nishinomiya City is also well known for Nishinomiya Shrine, which enshrines Ebisu, the god of prosperous business, and Hanshin Koshien Stadium, the sanctuary of high school baseball, as well as being a famous sake producing region.
