Numazu City is located in the eastern part of Shizuoka Prefecture, at the north of the Izu Peninsula. It is a commercial city at the center of the eastern region, with an abundance of nature, including Mt. Fuji seen across Suruga Bay, Mt. Kanuki, the Kano River flowing through the center of the city, fresh and abundant fish caught in Suruga Bay, deep-sea fish, and filleted horse mackerel, agricultural products such as green tea and mandarin oranges grown in the warm climate and rich soil, and tourism that takes advantage of the natural conditions.
It is also the setting for the anime “Love Live！Sunshine!!".
