Based on the "New Cool Japan Strategy," the Secretariat of Intellectual Property Strategy Headquarters, Cabinet Office Japan, is working to expand Japan’s fan base around the world and promote overseas expansion by showcasing the appeal of Japan.
The content of anime and manga serves as a "gateway" that stimulates interest in Japan among people around the world. These are also expected to play a major role in the overseas expansion of the Cool Japan industry, and contribute to attracting inbound tourists.
This festival will be held as an initiative to use anime, manga and others to convey the charms of Japan's regions to fans overseas and to encourage people to visit these regions and experience their food, food culture, diverse products, culture, and more.
